The Municipality of Paramythia belongs to the Prefecture of Thesprotia and is situated in the Southwest part of Epirus close to the river Kalamas and to the springs of the river Aherondas as well as to the coastline of Igoumenitsa, Syvota, Perdika and Parga.

The seat of the Municipality is situated in the town of Paramythia, it gathers most of the activities and it is the administrative, economic and commercial centre of the region with the great cultural heritage.
